Robotics: an approachable outer layer

A robot’s surface is a designed interface between a machine and the people around it. Tactile coverings are developed alongside the housing and sensor system.

Surface positions
Outer housing, selected touchpoints and replaceable protective facings.
Material questions
Flexibility, coating wear, seam durability, repeated wiping, odour and attachment.
Integration
Keep sensor windows, airflow, joints and moving components clear. Evaluate how the covering changes the component response.
Development scope
Synthetic-leather concepts are not supplied as human-skin substitutes. Skin-contact use requires its own appropriate evidence.

Electronics: the wall becomes an interface

Display hardware and passive decorative finishes can be coordinated within a serviceable interior system.

Surface positions
Display surrounds, equipment cabinet faces, removable access doors and controlled touch zones.
Material questions
Heat exposure, glare, dimensional stability, sensor compatibility and repeated cleaning.
Integration
Separate finish specification from display performance. Maintain cooling, power and service access.
Development scope
A decorative sheet is not a television or sensor. Those functions require separate hardware and controls.

Wellness: comfort changes with the day

Privacy, light and tactile surroundings influence how a room is experienced. We connect material comfort with the broader Neipclova Wellness conversation.

Surface positions
Partition frames, bedroom cabinetry and comfortable, appropriately selected touch surfaces.
Material questions
Cleaning, emissions documentation, texture and compatibility with the actual household or facility needs.
Integration
Switchable glazing and lighting require their own systems; they do not establish a medical or health benefit.
Development scope
Discuss the user’s routine and maintenance needs rather than making universal comfort or health claims.

Adaptable living: spaces with a longer life

Adaptable living: spaces with a longer life

A room can change its clothes: a new surface, a different layout or a different function as life changes.

Surface positions
Exchangeable facings, modular partitions, convertible furniture and serviceable panels.
Material questions
Attachment, removal damage, repair, replacement batches and documented end-of-life options.
Integration
Furniture mechanisms, glazing, utilities and displays make functional changes possible. Finishes provide the coordinated visual and tactile language.
Development scope
Explore thirty illustrated concepts on the Adaptive Living page. Each states its mechanism, decorative role and unresolved engineering needs.

02 / RESEARCH & MATERIALS

From the process film to the visible face.

The supplied materials describe PET / OPP process films, thermal-lamination interfaces and CPP sealing layers for battery-related constructions. These functions are different from decorative skins. The appropriate grade, cleanliness, joining method and qualification requirements must be established for the specific engineering role.

Passive decorative face

Colour, texture and appearance around an independently designed component. It does not create the component’s electrical, optical or medical function.

Bonding or process interface

A film chosen for joining, sealing, surface protection or processing. Its requirements differ from a visible architectural finish.

03 / THIRTY ILLUSTRATED CONCEPTS

A room can change its clothes.

Living becomes dining. A contained kitchen closes beside a separate sleeping module. Glass changes visual privacy; a wall incorporates a display. The story is a long-lived space that adapts, supported by real engineering rather than a finish alone.
